OHROPAX finds its origin in the year 1907, in Berlin. Its founder is Maximilian Negwer; the current company is still run by the Negwer family. OHROPAX started with the OHROPAX Classic.

The assortment has been expanded over the years with other earplugs. For example the OHROPAX Color (in specific for festivals) and OHROPAX Multi (at work).
